Microsoft Surface Mini Release Date Imminent After User Manual Mentions It 4 Times On Manufacturer's Website?

During Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 unveiling, a lot of people expected it to be the Microsoft Surface mini release date as well. However, speculations point out that the device is not yet ready for release, and as a result its debut was pushed back. What date? We don't know either.

However, in a report by BGR, the Surface mini will indeed see the light of day, as shown in a user manual which is posted on Microsoft's website itself.

In the Microsoft website, the name Surface mini appeared four times in a user manual. One of these instances is copy-pasted below:

"Before you use your Surface Pen the first time, you'll need to install the AAAA battery. You'll pair your new pen with Surface Mini a little later during setup."

In another instance, the manual says that the Surface Pen, which was also introduced at Microsoft's event has a special button which connects it to the mini tablet.

"Click the top button to open OneNote, even if your Surface is locked. Bluetooth technology links your Surface Pen to your Surface Mini or Surface Pro 3, so when you click the button, your Surface responds instantly."

The document also mentions how the Surface Mini functions with One Note.

"If you want to do more than take a quick handwritten note, unlock Surface Mini. When you do, you'll get the full functionality of OneNote. For example, you can see all of your notes in your OneNote notebook."

Because the Surface Mini appears in this user manual from Microsoft itself, it is safe to say that the smaller Windows 8.1 tablet would be making its way to the market soon. However, we still do not know the exact date when we will finally see it.

Let us just hope it does a better job than the Surface RT slate which was released a couple of years ago.
