New Android Phones 2014: The Micromax Canvas Entice A105 Is A 5' KitKat-Powered Budget Phone, Tipped Pricing Begins At Less Than $110

Of all the new Android phones for 2014, a significant number of consumers would still pick those which are cheaper but offer decent specs and features to get them through the day.

There are plenty of such devices in India where price is might.

Micromax, one of the known local brands, has recently announced its newest entry-level addition to the market.

Dubbed as the Canvas Entice A105, the smartphone does not offer explosive specs, revolutionary functions nor 'gimmicky' features. It is simply a decent Android powered device that can be useful for first-time Android users, or even switchers from other mobile platforms.

So what does the Micromax Canvas Entice A105 offer?

The Canvas Entice A105 packs a fairly huge 5-inch display, though it only has WVGA resolution. The screen size is already one of its main sellings points and aims to stand out in a crowd of other entry-level handsets.

Inside the Micromax handset runs a Broadcom BCM23550 chipset powered by a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU that runs at 1.2GHz, Videocore IV GPU for faster graphics performance, and 4GB of internal memory.

Unfortunately for consumers who are already coming from another Android handset, the Canvas Entice A105's 512MB RAM may disappoint you. And while you can still take on some of the basic functions and tasks using your smartphone, it may not be enough for applications and games which require higher RAM and CPU requirements.

Behind the Micromax smartphone lies the 5MP primary camera that is capable of recording 720p videos. The phone supports dual-SIM which is invaluable in most Asian markets, particularly in India.

Thankfully, this entry-level device runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat though we are not sure if it already has the 4.4.2 update, or would it arrive on a later date.

According to the report by GSM Arena, previous leaks and reports claim that the Micromax Canvas Entice A105 would be priced between €80 and €90.
