Robin Thicke’s ‘Get Her Back’ Video Receives Backlash; Paula Patton Yet To Comment On Singer’s Message

Robin Thicke's "Get Her Back" video received backlash for appearing too creepy as the singer's estranged wife, Paula Patton, has yet to give a comment on her husband's attempt to reconcile with her.

In an article published in Washington Post, Robin Thicke's "Get Her Back" video got less than stellar reviews. It was especially called out for not giving much context about the singer's bloodied face or for the texts that randomly appear on the screen.

"Thicke appears with a bloody face in some scenes and stares solemnly into the camera as text messages appear across the screen. Examples: 'I wrote a whole album about you.' 'I hate myself.' 'You embarrassed me.' 'You're reckless.' There's a lot that's unclear about the video - why Thicke is bleeding, for one. Nor is there any context for the text messages, so we can only guess as to whether they're being sent or received," the article said.

"In a particularly troubling moment, Thicke points a finger at his temple. The video ends with a text that reads - rather ominously, following the video's imagery - 'This is just the beginning,'" the report added.

Robin Thicke's "Get Her Back" is an apparent effort from the singer to try to win back his estranged wife, Paula Patton. But the actress has yet to give any comment about her husband's plea.

The "Mission Impossible" actress has been relatively quiet since the split was made public but she did say in a joint statement with Robin Thicke released in February this year that "we will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."

Meanwhile, Robin Thicke's "Get Her Back" mission begun immediately after the couple called things off. The singer has even openly talked about wanting to patch things up with his wife during his gigs.

Robin Thicke's "Get Her Back" is part of the singer's album "Paula," which is set for release on July 1, according to NY Daily News.
