Upcoming Motorola Phones 2014: The Dual-SIM And 4G Powered Moto G Is Now Available In The UK, Pricing Starts At 1¤70 SIM Free

When the Moto G 4G was announced several weeks ago, it instantly became one of the most popular upcoming Motorola phones in 2014. And that's not just because it is cheap, but an upgrade to the original.

While the Android handset now has a bigger price tag, most Android fans would not mind as the phone now comes with 4G LTE connectivity as well as the missing microSD card from its predecessor which launched late last year.

And after going live in the United States last week, the new Moto midranger is now available in the UK.

According to a report by GSM Arena, a number of UK stores are already offering the SIM-free edition of the Motorola Moto G 4G for 1¤70, while the phone can be bought for only 1¤7 a month on contract.

Unfortunately, in the report the 16GB edition is still nowhere to be found, which leads us to believe that Motorola may be trying to sell all of the 8GB stocks first, before focusing on the 16GB model, which would be the more popular version in the long run.

The Android-powered smartphone packs a 4.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 screen to make it scratch-resistant, 1GB RAM, a Snapdragon 400 chipset paired with a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box.

The Moto G 4G also has a 5-megapixel camera at the back with LED flash, and a 1.3MP front cam.

Handling the graphics department is an Adreno 305 which may still be enough to run casual games and applications, but certainly not the 1GB+ ones.

Late last year, Motorola shocked the mobile industry when it announced the super affordable Moto G. With its stylish design, decent specs and jaw-dropping price tag, it became an instant hit especially for those who are making their switch to Android. However, it lacked enough internal memory, and without a microSD card slot, its functionality eventually becomes limited overtime.

Good thing, the Moto G 4G is now here. It comes with a microSD card slot and 4G LTE connectivity as a bonus.
