Upcoming Nokia Phones 2014: Nokia X2 Makes Its Debut, Packs 4.3" Display, Snapdragon 200

It looks like the upcoming Nokia phones for 2014 will not be exclusively on the Windows Phone side. Earlier this year, Nokia has unleashed its first ever Android-powered handset and dubbed the Nokia X, but it was not alone.

Alongside the Nokia X are the Nokia X+ and Nokia XL, all of which run on Android - the first time a Nokia phone does so out of the box.

Just a couple of months afterwards, the Finnish brand has now unveiled the successor of the Nokia X, which it appropriately calls the Nokia X2.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Nokia X2 boasts better specs than its predecessor, which surely be welcomed by both Nokia and Android fans.

In case you are wondering what's new, the Nokia X2 packs a 4.3-inch ClearBlack display, but with the same 800 x 480 pixel resolution. The Android device's specs also include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset, a dual-core Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, as well as 1GB of RAM.

The Nokia X2 introduces a new Home button at the front of the device, just beside the back button. In several reports, most users experienced difficulty in switching from apps and killing them.

In case you are particular with a phone's battery, we are pleased to report that the Nokia X2 has 300mAh more battery than its predecessor (from 1,500mAh to 1,800mAh). In the report, the battery can last up to four hours of internet use.

Other specs on board include a 4GB built in memory which is expandable through the available microSD card slot, a higher 5MP camera at the back paired with LED flash, and a front cam.

In the report, the Nokia X2 will be priced at €99 before taxes and subsidies.

So, do you think the Nokia X2 will be your next Android phone?
