Upcoming Blackberry Phones 2014: The Z3 Finally Arrives In India, Costs $265

If you are a stil a fan of upcoming Blackberry phones for 2014, then you may want to check out this one. Unfortunately, if you are not living in India, then this smartphone might not be available for you for now.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, the mobile phone maker has just launched its Blackberry Z3 smartphone for the Indian market.

Announced last month, the Blackberry Z3 could be the company's flagship, though it has not stated anything about that during its announcement.

However, one thing is for sure - the Blackberry Z3 is a step in the right direction for the struggling phone maker. In the report, the device will be available in India beginning July 2 and would cost ₹15,900 ($265), which is still pretty reasonable considering its decent specs.

The Blackberry 10 powered device boasts a 5-inch display with qHD (960 x 540) resolution, a dual-core CPU running at 1.2GHz, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, Adreno 305 for graphics performance, and 1.5GB of RAM to handle multi-tasking.

Other specs which are also on board include an 8GB of internal memory with option for expansion through the microSD card slot, a 5MP primary camera with LED flash, and a 1.1MP front cam.

The Blackberry Z3 runs on Blackberry 10.2.1 OS out of the box, and is powered by a capable 2,500mAh battery.

It is good to see Blackberry finally regaining its compusure in the smartphone market, though sales for the Canada-based manufacturer are still at an all time low.

Now that the company has partnered with Foxconn in manufacturing smartphones, it would be easier for the pioneer mobile brand to manage its finances. Of course, it will help if the company continues to release unique smartphones that would cater to its old, and even entice new fans.
