Upcoming Windows Phones 2014: AllView Announces A Flurry Of WP Powered Handsets, Offers Cheap Prices

If you think Nokia is the only phone maker that produces Windows phone, think again. Three of the upcoming Windows phones for 2014 have recently been unveiled by manufacturer AllView.

While AllView is still unknown in the international smartphone scene, the company has already made a good name for itself in the announcement of three new Windows Phone powered devices.

First up is the Imperia S which packs a 5-inch IPS display that has HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, and 1GB of RAM. Also on board is an 8GB built in storage, an 8-megapixel shooter at the back, a 2MP front cam, and dual-SIM compatibility. It is slated to cost RON749 or about €170 and should be available in August.

Next is the AllView Imperia I which features a slightly smaller 4.7-inch display made by Dragotrail Glass and similar to the Imperia S. The screen also has HD resolution, which should still be okay for most consumers. Inside the Imperia I lies the same quad-core Cortex-A7 chip that is clocked at 1.2GHz, and 1GB of RAM. The 8MP/2MP rear/front camera combo is also present. It is priced at RON699 or around €160.

Last but not the least is the AllView Imperia I8 tablet which packs an 8-inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 resolution. The Windows slate is run by an Intel Atom Z3735E chipset with a quad-core 1.33GHz 64bit processor and 1GB of RAM. Also on board are a 5MP and 2MP camera combination at the back and in front.

The AllView tablet runs on Windows 8.1 and has Office 365 pre-installed. The device also boasts 1TB of CloudDrive storage. Naturally, it would be the most expensive of the three devices at RON849 or €194.

So, does any of these new Windows devices pique your interest?
