iPhone 6 Rumors: 5.5" Version Of Apple Smartphone Gets 128GB Option? Gets Optical Image Stabilization As Well

iPhone 6 rumors are going rampant now that we are crossing the halfway mark of the year. This Fall we are expecting to see a first from Apple - a phablet, and it will be a version of its upcoming iPhone 6.

For the past months we have often seen the 4.7-inch edition of the iPhone 6 in leaked images and renders, but not the 5.5-inch version.

Now, in a report by GSM Arena, we finally get some details about the Apple phablet.

In the report, the iPhone 6 5.5-inch version will have an option for a whopping 128GB of internal storage. Currently, the highest storage of any iPhone on the planet is only 64GB, and that is already a huge memory to spare for apps and games.

Apparently, the iPhone 6 phablet would be geared towards the entertainment niche where consumers watch movies on the go. And with its 5.5-inch Retina display, we can only imagine how great it is to handle all those multimedia needs.

But with great multimedia comes great storage space.

And so the Cupertino manufacturer could be doing the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 buyers a big favor by including a 128GB option. However, we can certainly expect the pricing for that edition to be sky high.

In addition to the huge amount of storage, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 would also get optical image stabilization for its camera, something that the 4.7-inch model reportedly does not have.

So where did all these news come from? In the report by GSM Arena, it came from Chinese website Wei Feng which quoted Deustche Telekom as the source. It is the German carrier who was quoted in a message to its employees that the unveiling of the Apple 6 would be on September 19.

Other rumored specs of both iPhone 6 models include an A8 chipset, iOS 8, and better Touch ID functions.
