Details about the official Left 4 Dead 3 release date are scarce but new possibilities and speculations emerged.

As posted on Air Herald, Left 4 Dead 3 might be announced "least after the launch of Valve's Source Engine 2."

As described on Soure.ValveSoftware.com, the Source engine is "widely recognized as the most flexible, comprehensive, and powerful game development environment available." It was the foundation used to create such popular game series like Half Life.

Furthermore, the report on Air Herald regarding Left 4 Dead 3 release date noted that the game is currently in the works.  Accordingly, a former employee from Valve and Counter Strike maker, Minh Le, shared that alongside a Half Life concept art, he had also witnessed "some hands on development of Left 4 Dead 3," which he thought looked great.

Meanwhile, as reported on Kdramastars, Left 4 Dead 3 release date might not happen anytime soon because according to Turtle Rock Studios' co-founder and creative director, Phil Robb, the developer is currently working on a new game titled Evolve. As described on the site, Evolve "will be much like Left 4 Dead and players will have to work together to be able to overcome challenges along with accomplishing tasks."

As for other Left 4 Dead news, the second iteration of the game series is now available for a significantly cheaper price via the ongoing Steam Summer Sale. Day 8 of the Daily Deals offering includes Left 4 Dead 2, which is currently available with 75% off.
