Xiaomi Mi3 Review, Specs: Android Flagship Of ‘Apple Of China’ Launched In India; Feat. 5-inch Full HD Display, 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 Processor 2GB RAM

Xiaomi Mi3 review, specs: The Android flagship of the company dubbed the “Apple of China” was launched in India Tuesday and is expected to be available by July 15 for the price of Rs. 14,999.

The handset features a 5-inch Full HD LCD display with resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and pixel density of 441 ppi. Under the hood the Xiaomi Mi3 runs on a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor that clocks in at 2.3GHz and has 16GB of internal memory.

The Xiaomi Mi3 is powered by what NDTV described as a highly tweaked version of the Android 4.3 dubbed MIUI. Xiaomi’s own internal interface boasts more than 20 million users in China and as they expand globally, it’s only expected to have more users.

According to NDTV’s review, the Xiaomi Mi3 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.2 aperture and a dual-LED flash, while the front has a 2-megapixel camera. The unit is backed with 3050mAh battery and measures 144 x 73.6 x 8.1 mm and weighs 145 grams. The handset will be available in Metallic Grey color.

The Xiaomi Mi3 broke records when it first came out, selling 100,000 units in a span of 86 seconds. The unit is expected to get a follow-up this year, to be succeeded by the rumored and highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi4. There has also been talk and expectations that a variant of the Mi3 will come out this year called the Xiaomi Mi3S.

The Mi3’s availability is India is in line with the goal of the company to enter several markets internationally. The Mi3 has just been recently launched as well in Malaysia and the Philippines.

The company aims to sell 60 million units this year and is seemingly on tracked to reach the goal. It’s global ambitions has also been obviously heightened by the news that it’s aiming to enter the U.S. market by the year 2015.
