Brazil vs. Netherlands Preview: Brazil World Cup 2014 Final Match, Argentina Humiliation Over Rivalry?

Brazil will face off against Netherlands in the third place match of the Brazil World Cup 2014 tournament, pitting two of the tournament's strongest teams against each other.

Brazil, which is still recovering from a 7-1 loss to Germany and ranked third in the world, is expected to be the underdog in the match.

The South American team's coach Luis Felipe Scolari said "life goes on" after the defeat to Germany.

''Life goes on, we need to look forward to our next goal, and our next goal is to win the match for third place,'' Scolari said.

''We have to play it. It has become our main goal.''

Argentina's advancement to the final of the World Cup 2014 has also drawn criticism from longtime fans of Brazil upset over their archrival having a strong chance of winning the tournament on their own soil.

Netherlands, ranked fifteenth in the world, is expected to be the favorite in the match.

The European team's manager Louis van Gaal said two players refused to take the first penalty shot in the match against Argentina.

"You need to score the first one and I asked two players to take the first ball before ending up with Vlaar,'' van Gaal said, according to the Herald Sun.

"I thought he was the best player on the pitch so should have a lot of confidence, but it goes to show it's not easy scoring in a penalty shoot-out."
