Moto X+1 Release Date Set In August? Motorola Flagship Tipped To Match Against Android Heavyweights

For months, we have been waiting for the Moto X+1 release date to no avail. It was rumored to be unveiled at Motorola's press event a couple of weeks back, but unfortunately the only phones who were announced are the Moto G 4G which includes LTE connectivity and microSD card slot, and the even more entry level Moto E.

So when would be the Moto X+1 release date?

According to a report by Know Your Mobile, website TK Tech News Blog say that sources claim that August should be the month where we finally see Motorola's new flagship device.

Unfortunately, we cannot confirm those rumors because the company has not mentioned anything itself. While August would seem a likely target for a launch and release, that is still uncertain at this point.

However, we can get an idea when Motorola would release the Moto X+1 in the market by looking at the possible iPhone 6 release date. Tipped to be launched by the second or third week of September, Apple's new better, and now bigger smartphone would get the world's attention when it takes center stage. And for Motorola, the only way to sell a decent number of its upcoming flagship is to release it earlier.

So when Motorola's Moto X+1 release date does come, would it be able to stand a chance against the competition?

According to reports, the device will the first smartphone from Motorola with a Full HD (1920 x 1080) screen. In an alleged leaked spec sheet from a benchmarking app, a Motorola device appeared and listed down some impressive specs.

The new Motorola Moto X+1, or also known as the Moto X2 would certainly pack a number of interesting features which would enable it to rise among the ranks in the very competitive Android market.

But while specs and features are key factors which are considered by consumers, the primary selling point of the upcoming Motorola phone is its price. The Moto G did so well, even in developed markets due to the fact that its pricing was entry level, while it packs a solid list of specs.

Knowing Motorola, the Moto X+1 should be a feature-packed device that boasts its near-stock Android UI, though the phone's success should depend on its pricing.
