2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions: LeBron James Return To Miami Losing Hope? Pat Riley Meeting Ends With Nothing! Is He Giving Up?

The 2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions is getting more intriguing. The entire league is waiting on the King, including the Mastermind Pat Riley. Despite all efforts to lock him down in Las Vegas, the odds are still against him.

From Sporting News: "The anticipated meeting between LeBron James and the Heat came and went in Las Vegas ... and we still know nothing.

The meeting, which reportedly involved James, agent Rich Paul, Heat president Pat Riley and executive Andy Elisburg, ended around 7:30 p.m. ET, and James left without committing to a deal with the Heat, according to multiple reports. There was no announcement of any kind, and no free-agency decision has been made. Reports indicate that James will now talk it over with his family."

ESPN's experts have their percentages dropping as well. Before the start of the off-season, no one even thought there was a chance and the Cleveland rumors were a joke.

Even after LeBron opted out, Heat fans were confident that it was all for the good of the team. When the Big Three had their meeting, they proclaimed that the 'master plan' to strengthen the Heat was forged.

Two weeks later, this is where we are:

Percentage of LeBron James returning to Miami?

"J.A. Adande, ESPN.com: 45 percent. One source, who's in the thick of all of this, told me he has gone from thinking LeBron was a lock to return to Miami to having serious doubts. In my mind, that offsets all the confidence and Dwyane Wade poolside selfies emanating from the Heat.

Tom Haberstroh, ESPN Insider: 60 percent. If James had any real ties to the staff in Cleveland, I'd feel differently. I find it hard to believe that James is going to entrust his future with a coach who has never coached in the league, a first-time GM and an owner who wrote this about him. I can see Cleveland in a couple of years, but it seems odd to turn down a championship-winning core and dive in headfirst to uncertainty."

Chris Broussard of ESPN also played the percentages game on their show, and he pegged Cleveland's chances of landing LeBron James at 85 percent, (up from 80) and Miami with the remaining (dwindling) 15 percent. The Knicks and Lakers were on the board but Broussard thinks they have no chance.

Nothing is final, and LeBron might still go back to Miami. But the best thing is that LeBron is thinking about his family. He should be beyond ring-chasing anyway.

Sorry Pat Riley. You can't win them all.
