Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Rumored Specs Of Xiaomi's Next Flagship Will Take On LG G3's Supremacy, To Be Launched On July 22

While there are hundreds of upcoming Android phones for 2014, a loyal Android enthusiast would surely be excited to know that the upcoming flagship of Xiaomi will finally be unveiled on July 22.

Fittingly dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi4, the Android smartphone is expected to pack high-end specs, which are certainly better than what it had to offer with the Mi3 last year.

When the Chinese company's previous flagship device was announced, the entire industry was surprised by its specs and the pricetag that comes with it.

The Xiaomi Mi3 packs a 5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a 2GB RAM, quad-core CPU and a Snapdragon 800 chipset. The Android phone, which turns a year old in September also features a 13MP primary camera with OIS, and a 2MP front cam.

At the time of launch, the Xiaomi Mi3 runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean but new models of the device also come with Android 4.4.3 Kit Kat out of the box.

Costing below $400, the Mi3 is definitely a steal, and its sales figures surely show that. After its flagship was released last year, Xiaomi has slowly become a force to reckoned with in the Asian market, and soon it will expand in other countries as well. A couple of days ago, the Chinese brand launched the Mi3 in India, its first device in the country.

Last week, the company's CEO Lei Jun was thrilled to announce that it already surpassed 10 million in unit sales.

Surely, the market, Android fans, and the company itself will expect more from its upcoming Xiaomi Mi4.

In previous reports, the device will reportedly get a 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution, though we hope it would get QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution like the LG G3. Other alleged specs include a Snapdragon 801 or 805 chipset, 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera at the back and the latest Android version.

Stay tuned for more details about the Xiaomi Mi4's launch on July 22.
