ZTE Nubia X6 review: Specs of the Android-powered smartphone ZTE Nubia X6, which is available in China, is a feature-rich handset designed for a user who loves multiple options. The handset has a 6.44-inch 1080P display, Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor that clocks in at 2.3GHz, 13MP camera, and internal storage of up to 128GB.

The handset’s 13MP camera has a f/2.0 aperture, 5-element lens and Optical Image Stabilization according to Phone Arena. It’s front-facing camera, also at 13MP, has backside illumination. The ZTE Nubia X6 also has a dual-SIM slot, 3G and LTE network support, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and three noise-canceling mics for calls and recordings.

The Android handset’s battery life is huge at 4250mAh battery. And its front-facing camera puts a lot of smartphone’s main camera to shame, according to Engadget.

The ZTE Nubia X6 though impressive in many accounts is only available in China for a price of HK$5,010 or roughly $640.

ZTE is a Chinese multinational telecommunications equipment company based in Shenzen, China. It has 48,000 filed patents globally and 13,000 granted patents. The company has more than 89,000 employees all over the world and counts Xiaomi, known as the “Apple of China” as one of its competitors.

In 2012, ZTE was named the fourth largest mobile phone vendor and placed within IDC’s Top 5 smartphone vendor leaderboard. At the 2014 Mobile World Congress, the company was announced as the latest partner of the Windows Phone platform.

In its Wikipedia page, its noted that the company manufactures mobile phones and broadband devices for multiple wireless carriers including AT&T, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, MetroPCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, TracFone, Verizon, and Virgin Mobile.

The company’s China-based clients are China Netcom, China Mobile, China Satcom, China Telecom, and China Unicom.
