Henry Cavill Girlfriend Gina Carano To Meet With UFC Pres. Dana White; Future Mrs. Superman Maybe Under Contract This Coming Week?

Henry Cavill’s girlfriend Gina Carano has always been a woman standing on her own fame and it couldn’t be truer this time as this world-class athlete and fitness model is anticipated to have a meet with defending champion Ronda Rousey.

The much hoped-for event could soon come to pass as ESNP reports that UFC President Dana White meets with Carano and may be hoping to have her under contract by the end of next week.

The sports network’s U.K. website reports that the UFC added to its female bantamweight division on Thursday by signing professional boxer and undefeated mixed martial artist Holly Holm.

The UFC president and UFC CEO Lorenza Fertitta is looking to add another major personality to the line-up, eyeing Carano, thus the reason for the said meeting.

As reported by ESPN U.K., below is what White has to say about the meeting:

"One down, one to go," White said. "I'm going to meet with Gina next week and get that f***ing thing done. Next week, man.

"It's just a matter of me and Lorenzo going to jump on a plane to Los Angeles, get in a room with her and her lawyer and get this thing done."

The on-again and off-again romantic partner of Henry Cavill is considered the former face of the female MMA, but she has not fought in five years. She left the sport after a first-round TKO loss to Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino in a Strikeforce featherweight title fight, ESPN notes.

UFC acquired Strikeforce in 2011, owning all of the promotions’ contracts in the deal.

A proposed bantamweight title fight between defending champion Ronda Rousey and Carano could mean big business for the UFC. ESPN says that Rousey has stated publicly that she credits Carano for her interest in the sport and would relish the opportunity to fight with her.

The holdup on Carano signing with UFC has nothing to do with her desire to compete, says White. It’s all about the final details in the contract.

"There is no doubt about it, she wants to fight," the UFC president said. "And she wants to fight Ronda."
