NBA Trade Rumors: Andrew Wiggins Untouchable! Cleveland Cavaliers Coach David Blatt Debunks Wiggins For Love Rumors!

Everything's turning up roses for Andrew Wiggins. First, he became the first overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft because the top prospect (Joel Embiid) got injured. Then, the team that drafted him got the best player on the planet.

The Cleveland Cavaliers weren't even that weak to begin with. They had the All-Star MVP in Kyrie Irving, they have the number one overall pick last year in Anthony Bennett (who is also Wiggins' teammate in Team Canada) and young lottery players like Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson.

They underachieved because of some wrong gambles: Signing Andrew Bynum and re-hiring Mike Brown as their coach.

Wiggins will not have to face that. Instead, he will have the best in the game as his mentor.

The only problem for Wiggins so far is that he was involved in trade rumors that could send him to hapless Minnesota in exchange for Kevin Love. You can't help it, but Wiggins is the Cavs' worthiest asset aside from Irving and LeBron, and those two are obviously untouchable.

And now, his coach places him in that category. From ESPN:

"'There's no reason or cause for worry on his part because Andrew's not going anywhere, as far as I know and as far as the club has expressed,' Blatt told reporters Saturday following the Cavaliers' Summer League practice in Las Vegas."

'As far as I know' is not entirely comforting, but the city of Cleveland is still busy celebrating their offcourt victories.

Blatt continues: "I would think for a guy like Andrew, to have the opportunity to play with arguably one of the best players of all time, and to learn from him and to be tutored by him and to play alongside him -- which he will -- I gotta think that's a tremendous boost to his confidence and his comfort level and probably his motivation."

Wiggins is also happy-of course: "The best player comes to your team. It's going to be a great learning experience for me to play alongside the best in the game."
