"Sam & Cat" is cancelled after airing for only one season and reports are saying that the Ariana Grande, Jennette McCurdy may be to blame.

According to a report published on E! News, a representative of Nickelodeon has confirmed that "Sam & Cat" is cancelled and will no longer have a second season. The show stars singer and songwriter Ariana Grande along with country pop singer Jennette McCurdy who plays Cat Valentine and Sam Puckett, respectively. It is a spin-off of "Victorious" and "iCarly."

The statement of the representative said: "We are very proud of the show and its very talented cast and we wish them all the best."

With "Sam & Cat" cancellation, rumors about the Ariana Grande, Jennette McCurdy feud was pointed to be the reason behind such cancellation especially after she took to Twitter her reaction about the show's end without any mention of her co-star.

"So the news is out about Sam & Cat. I felt it wasn't my place to make any sort of announcement so I kept quiet until now. I want to thank Nickelodeon for making a childhood dream of mine come true, for being a family to me, for being so accommodating and supportive of my multitasking with my music career, and for of course introducing me to many of my fans however many years ago," Ariana Grande's long Twitter post began.

The "Problem" singer also went on to thank the show's creator , the cast and crew, as well as the fans.

But Jennette McCurdy did not give her piece about the "Sam & Cat" cancellation.

Last month, the Ariana Grande, Jennette McCurdy feud made headlines as the latter is reportedly jealous of the "Problem" singer.

According to a source of HollywoodLife, while the Ariana Grande, Jennette McCurdy feud is not true, the "So Close" songstress is "jealous" of the pop star as she basically "owned Nickelodeon" before Ariana Grande came along.
