Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Update: Co. Plans To Complete The Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS Upgrade To Other Devices This July, Leaked Document Suggests

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini update: As Android 4.4.4 KitKat is currently running a number of smartphones in the market, Samsung is about to update and complete the Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware to remaining devices eligible for the OS upgrade, a leaked document reveals.

Just About Phones released a report from an insider from India saying that Samsung’s updated Android 4.4.2 firmware is already tested and ready for the public. The update for the OS will be available for the Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy Grand 2 Duos, Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3.

Although the report noted that the update is only for India, it is most likely that this will affect all the mentioned Samsung handsets. According to the document, the updated Android 4.4.2 KitKat will also be released for the dual-sim smartphones SM-G7102 or the Galaxy Grand 2 and the GT-I9152 or the Galaxy Mega 5.8.

According to the leaked document, Samsung has also finished testing the update for the Galaxy Note III. However, the Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) will most likely get the updated firmware.

The update for the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 has been completed last May and has been released in Russia, reported NDTV. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S4 Active was previously reported to be receiving the same firmware in the same month, depending on the region and network of the users.

The Android 4.4.3 KitKat OS update will also be released for the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5 in the next months, according to different leaked document last month.

As of now, the reports are yet to be confirmed by the South Korean company. It is also not yet said what the specific tweaks are. It may take a while before Samsung users can finally receive the last instalment of the Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware. For now, all we can do is wait for the confirmed report.
