Blackberry Z10 Review: BB Smartphone’s Specs Incl. 4.2” Display, 16 GB Memory, 2 GB RAM, 8 MP Camera, New BB 10 OS; Is This Helping The Brand?

Blackberry Z10 review: The BlackBerry Z10 sports a 4.2-inch touch display, 16 GB internal memory (expandable up to 32 GB), 2 GB RAM, and an 8-Megapixel camera, powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset and run by the latest BlackBerry 10 OS.

It is no news that BlackBerry is currently in danger in the smartphone wars after the continuous release and upgrades of giants like Samsung and Apple. But last 2013, the company attempts to make a comeback with the release of its flagship model, the BlackBerry Z10, powered by its latest operating system, the BlackBerry 10. But is it enough to bring the company back in the big leagues?

"Will it be supported for long? Maybe not... but the superbly low price makes this a decent alternative to the Android / iPhone monopoly," from a review in techdar.com.

The BlackBerry Z10 is highly recommended and commendable for fast web browsing, fair expandable memory, decent camera, and efficient messaging hub. Meanwhile, some critics raised a few a brows because of its plastic case that failed to give a more expensive or premium feel and its OS that still limits the available apps for users.

The Z10 has a dimension of 130 x 65.6 x 9 mm, with a weight of 137.5 grams. This is an average weight and size for its range. The only noticeable downgrade with this model is its plastic back which not only lessens the entire smartphone’s style, but also gives a bad grip for the users.

In terms of having a user-friendly ergonomics, the Z10 is a familiar piece for all users who have handled BlackBerry handsets before. It still has a triple-button setup with volume rocker switches separated by a central key.

The BB flagship model also features a microUSB port along with the miniHDMI port that lets you connect your phone to a television or monitor for a bigger viewing experience.

The biggest innovation, and at the same time risk that the company has jumped into is the OS, the BlackBerry 10. Users of this OS need to study its features and functions before they can fully experience its perks.

So far, the Z10 is in range with the iPhone 5C, Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini in terms of price and specs. But with its different OS, it is still uncertain whether the BlackBerry Z10 is enough to keep the BlackBerry afloat in the market.
