Apple iWatch Release Date: The 'Wearable' Market Better Be Prepared As iWatch Tipped To Launch Just In Time For The Holidays

For the past couple of years, people have considered the Apple iWatch release date as a myth that will never come true. First rumored two years ago, the device was actually among the top competitors of the Sony Smartwatch when it was first announced.

Fast forward into 2014 and still, the iWatch is nowhere in sight.

But not for long.

According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the most awaited wearable device on the planet would begin mass production as late as November, and would reportedly be in time for the Christmas season.

As a reputable analyst of everything Apple, Kuo has also mentioned a number of features which may be present when we first take a look at it during the Apple iWatch release date.

The alleged specs include a sapphire coated display, just like the new iPhone 6, a flexible AMOLED screen, and a higher resistance to water, among others.

On the software side, the iWatch would get the latest iOS 8 version wherein the Healthkit feature would surely come in handy. Home automation and other cool features which come with the latest iOS version may also be included among the iWatch features.

Previously, the KGI Securities analyst stated that the Apple iWatch release date could be on the latter part of September, but he has changed it and placed it on a latter date. The move in date is probably due to the fact that Apple has a lot of devices lined up for September and October that releasing the iWatch would not be good for its initial sales.

The Cupertino manufacturer is expected to unveil the latest and most awaited version of the iPhone, iPhone 6 which gets a 4.7-inch display, while a phablet version packs 5.5 inches of screen real estate. The new iPads and MacBooks are also among the devices which Apple is expected to announce before this quarter ends.
