Derrick Rose News: D-Rose Included In 19-Player Pool For USA Team? Is He Healthy Enough To Join FIBA World Cup In Spain? LeBron Not On The List?

For the last two years, most Derrick Rose news have been all about his injury, the treatments he had, his rehabilitation and therapies and his Return to old form.

Unfortunately for the 25-year-old Rose, he has been successful in accomplishing all of those stages except one - the Return.

It certainly looked like last year, but after only a few games, Rose torn his meniscus on his right knee, sidelining him for the rest of the season.

However, it looks like the Bulls have guard has been doing heavy trainings lately just so he can compete at a high level by the time the NBA season begins. And there's no better way to train than becoming a part of the USA Team which would compete at the FIBA World Cup in Spain next month.

According to a report by Bleacher Report, the former MVP has been chosen by USA Team coach Mike Krzyzewski as one of the 19 players who would become part of the squad's Training Camp. And in spite rumors of his health, coach Krzyzewski is still confident that Rose can play at a high level and give the USA Team the emotional boost it needs to win another gold medal for the second straight time.

Since Krzyzewski took the helm for the USA team, the team has seen a resurgence in the international scene, beating international rivals Spain and Argentina during the 2010 FIBA Cup as well as during the 2012 Olympics.

Interestingly, LeBron James is not part of the pool, while Cavs point guard Kyrie Irving was chosen. It seems the 4-time MVP would want to spend the remaining months working with his new team and mesh well into the system of new coach David Blatt.

The 29-year-old James could also help in the Cavs' pursuit of some free agents or trade prospects, most particularly the one which includes All Star scorer and rebounder Kevin Love.
