Nick Lachey's baby is on the way, and it's a a girl! The television personality told the world about his wife Vanessa's pregnancy today on Twitter. It's the second child for the couple, who welcomed Camden John Lachey into their lives back in 2012.

"Can't think of a better way to celebrate 3 years of marriage to my beautiful @VanessaLachey than this!" wrote Nick from his personal Twitter account, @NickLachey. He then hashtagged the tweet with "family".

The photo uploaded by the ex-98 Degrees singer shows a heart drawn in sand, with the words "It's a girl" written with a flourish inside. Nick Lachey's baby news picture also managed to capture his son Camden running through the frame.

Vanessa retweeted Nick's photo, choosing to spread the word to her fans through same the super cute tweet!

Fans of the couple have already begun tweeting their congratulations about the pregnancy in response to the pic.

It was only a matter of time until Nick Lachey baby news broke - the star hasn't shied away from admitting he wants more kids. Nick told PEOPLE back in November last year that he felt he and his wife were incredibly blessed, and that parenthood is "the most amazing experience you could ever go through."

The prospect of a baby girl is also something Nick has been looking forward to as his family grows.

"I do want a girl," he spilled to PEOPLE earlier this year. "I think there's something emotional about having a daughter that I definitely want to experience."

It sounds like parenthood really is suiting Nick Lachey well - the star's very own Twitter bio lists "Full time husband and father" before any mention of singing or television roles! We can't wait to see the new little addition to the Lachey brood.
