Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are living it up in New York City as they promote the final season of their smash hit series "True Blood" - and what better way to celebrate than a crazy new 'do!

Anna, who plays the role of Sookie Stackhouse in the HBO series, tweeted out a photo of her blue and purple locks to her 83,000 followers on Wednesday afternoon.

"@auracolorist just fulfilled my teen dream of being a mermaid," wrote Anna (@AnnaPaquin). She then directed the tweet to her husband, who takes on the character of Bill Compton in "True Blood". "@_smoyer whatcha think?"

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer's Twitter exchange didn't end there, with Stephen quickly replying to his wife.

"@AnnaPaquin @aurocolorist Wow wife... you look amazing. #sookie is no more :( Long live Mrs Emery! Xx #TrueToTheEnd #tbs7 #trueblood," Stephen wrote.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were married in 2010 after meeting while working on "True Blood", and have two children together - fraternal twins Charlie and Poppy. Stephen also has two children from a previous relationship.

The couple has been doing a whirlwind series of media spots to hype up anticipation for the final series of their show together. Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer appeared together at the Apple Store in SoHo for a "Meet the Cast" event while hitting up NYC.

Gossip Center writes that one of the areas covered in the discussion in SoHo was the death of Sookie Stackhouse's love interest, who was killed off earlier in the previous season.

"I called it as soon as [Sookie and Alcide] got together [in the Season 6 finale]. As soon as I read that they were together, the first thing I thought was, 'They're going to kill him...'" said Joe Manganiello, who played the character in question. As soon as that happened, I went 'Aw man, this is not going to last long."
