Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: The Galaxy S5 Mini Launches In Poland And UK, Costs A Hefty $630 Price Tag

After getting announced a couple of weeks ago, one of the upcoming Samsung phones for 2014 has finally hit the markets in Poland and the UK.

According to a report by Android Community, the 'mini' flagship is now available for pre-order and costs around $625 to $630.

That seems a bit steep considering the Galaxy S5 mini boasts midrange specs.

In case you are interested in this device and you want to take note of its specs, the Galaxy S5 mini packs a 4.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, an Exynos chip, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage.

Also on board is a microSD card slot, an 8-megapixel primary camera, and a 2.1MP front cam. Other specs include Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box, a 2,100mAh battery, and a number of features coming from the Galaxy S5 like the fingerprint scanner, water and dust resistance.

For people who cannot afford the expensive Samsung Galaxy S5, they may have waited for more than three months just to get the mini version.

Unfortunately, the Galaxy S5 mini price is pretty expensive compared to other Android smartphones with similar if not superior specs. The HTC One mini 2 is certainly a looker with its metal build, its 13MP primary and 5MP secondary cameras.

For people who are looking for a much cheaper alternative, Motorola's new Moto G 4G is an ideal midranger that packs all of the basic needs of a moderate user, but does not come with a price that will break the bank.

The Galaxy S5 mini will surely have its fair share of fans, though we don't think it would be able to outsell other midrangers which are less expensive. We'll bring you more updates about the Galaxy S5 mini's availability and pricing when it launches in other markets.
