Angelina Jolie Sues MailOnline for `Ancient' Heroin Video; Jolie and Brad Pitt Pal George Clooney Also Sued The Tabloid

Angelina Jolie sues Mail Online over a leaked video from her "ancient history." Angelina and Brad Pitts' best buddy George Clooney recently wrote  open letter of complaint to the Daily Mail, after the newspaper made false allegations about his upcoming wedding.

MailOnline published a video from the 1990s that showed Angelina Jolie apparentnly under the influence of drugs. The Jolie video was leaked to the National Enquirer by former drug dealer Franklin Meyer who said he was at Jolie's apartment to drop off heroin and cocaine.

The National Enquirer posted the video the next day and then MailOnline then re-published the video. Jolie has now begun legal action over the video, which she feels was a violation of her privacy, according to The Times.

Angelina Jolie will take the Daily Mail to court over a video the tabloid published showing Brad Pitt's girlfriend her strung out on heroin. The Video was shot when Jolie was still relatively unknown.

Just this week, The MailOnline was forced to apologize to George Clooney after the actor wrote a column that slammed a false article about his mother-in-law. Clooney rejected the tabloid's apology, saying it was "the worst kind of tabloid." The video has been removed from at least one of the articles it was linked to.

The Daily Mail says it got the 16 minutes of footage from the National Enquirer. The video shows a conversation between Angelina Jolie and dad Jon Voight while they were talking about her brother James and her late mother Marcheline Bertrand.

The video is said to be taken around the time Jolie was promoting her Oscar-winning role in the movie "Girl, Interrupted."

Under the footage, The Mail ran the headline, "Bloodshot hollow eyes, emaciated arms and rambling on the phone: Haunting video of Angelina Jolie the heroin addict."
The Times of London reports Jolie feels publishing the video was a gross violation of her privacy.

Reports say that "pictures like this have been floating around for years."

Franklin Meyer claims he supplied cocaine and heroin three times a week to Jolie.

Meyers claimed Angelina Jolie has been his client for several years. "One day she called me up and wanted me to drop by her place. That was her way of telling me she wanted me to bring her drugs," he said.

The Daily Mail was forced to apologize to George Clooney for suggesting his fiancee's mother objected to their marriage on religious grounds.
