Upcoming Android Phones 2014: ZTE's New Flagship Nubia Z7 Sells 52,800 Units In Under 5 Minutes!

Xiaomi is not the only manufacturer that sells the best upcoming Android phones for 2014. Apparently, another Chinese brand, ZTE, has taken a page from Xiaomi's 'flash sale' book when it launched its three Nubia Z7 smartphones.

According to the report by GSM Arena, the Chinese manufacturer was able to sell 52,800 units of its new phones in under 5 minutes, or 4 minutes and 36 seconds to be exact.

However, the company did not disclose right away the sales breakdown among its three new devices. Earlier this month, ZTE announced its ZTE Nubia Z7 flagship.

The phone packs some serious specs and should be worthy rivals to this year's best Android phones such as the Galaxy S5 from Samsung, HTC's One M8, and the LG G3 among others.

The ZTE flagship boasts a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display, a 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 801 chipset, and a quad-core CPU running at 2.5GHz. It also packs a 13MP primary camera at the back with OIS, and a 5-megapixel front cam for selfies and groupies.

The device packs a 3,000mAh battery, a 32GB of internal memory, LTE support, and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box.

Meanwhile, the ZTE Nubia Z7 Max is a slightly lower end model with its 5.5-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) display and 2GB RAM. The last of the trio is the ZTE Nubia Z7 mini, which boasts a 'small' 5-inch display.

Interestingly, even the Z7 Max and Mini pack the same 13MP primary shooter, 5MP front cam, Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat, and Snapdragon chipset.

No wonder the Chinese market is getting all hooked up with all these incredibly cheap but high quality and highly spec'd smartphones. While there are no specifics yet in terms of release date and availability, we assume that these ZTE handsets would initially be offered to its home market for a bargain price before moving to markets outside of the country.
