Rin Nakai UFC: Japanese MMA Fighter Set To Debut On Ultimate Fighting Championship; Has 'No Intention Of Losing'

Rin Nakai UFC commenced on September 20, 2014.

Dubbed the Queen of Japanese MMA, Nakai will fight Miesha Tate at UFC Fight Night 52 in Saitama, Japan.

In a report by Yahoo! Sports, Nakai shared that she has zero intentions of losing, especially in front of a Japanese audience. She said, "I take very seriously the (title) of being a pioneer for Japanese female MMA. I don't want to lose in front of all the Japanese fans. I am the Queen of Pancrase and I want to defend that (title) in the UFC."

Rin Nakai UFC added, "I don't care about the critics, I care about winning fights. That is what I have been able to do this far. I think I can fight as well as Miesha Tate does, I think I am as good as her. And that is all that matters - the fight on Saturday." She commented about criticisms regarding the quality of her previous opponents, "The critics aren't part of the fight. I trained so hard to make this UFC fight happen, and I am excited for everyone who has heard only about my name or seen my videos now gets to see me fight. Of course, I want to be Queen of the UFC (UFC champion) but I always focus on the fight in front of me, and that is Tate."

Rin Nakai is 27 years old and a bantamweight. She debuted in professional mixed martial arts in 2006 and has an undefeated record of 16-0 coming into Saturday's fight. Tate, on the other hand, used to be a Strikeforce champion and is a UFC title contender.

On September 20, 2014, however, Tate handed Rin Nakai UFC her first loss. In a report by MMA Junkie, Tate's height worked to her advantage. The American was able to stave off takedown attempts by Nakai. Tate delivered a variety of kicks, elbows and punches. In the end, the judges found Tate victorious, improving her record to 15-5.
