Batman: Arkham Knight PS4 Release Date: Two-Face, Harley Quinn and Penguin are out again destroying Gotham City and Batman is out to save the day.

After a couple of releases of the Batman game franchise for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, the new Batman: Arkham Knight, which was introduced with an intense trailer last March, is expected to be out for the next generation consoles, namely the PS4, Xbox One and still in the PC supposedly this year but was rumored to be delayed until 2015.

According to some reports, a news came out from WonderCon, which happened this April that after a DC All Access Panel showed the trailer of the game, it was announced to the audience that "the game has now been pushed to a 2015 release date."

However, in recent reports, Rocksteady is thinking twice of releasing the game for Xbox One particularly in Japan, after a major downfall in sales of the Microsoft console has been reported. AirHerald, meanwhile, claimed that for other countries, an Xbox One release is still a go.

In an interview by Game Informer about the release date of Batman: Arkham Knight, it was thoroughly revealed that creators revealed that they have added more characters after Rocksteady Studios teamed up with DC Comics to make the game more interesting, saying by "challenging Batman."

Sefton Hill, co-founder of Rocksteady Studios told Game Informer: "We hadn't in the previous games introduced someone new to the universe. We wanted to introduce someone who could really challenge Batman to go head to head with him in lots of different ways. We're not talking about those ways just yet but this guy is definitely a formidable foe for Batman."

For now there are no specific characters revealed yet for the game but it might go both ways as they could also introduce a hero or a villain that would say to "challenge Batman."

Reports say that creators are developing a new villain saying all existing villains reflect the caped crusader's personality and none of them seems to challenge the superhero.

"It came from thinking about the way that we built interactions and engagements between Batman and the other members of the rouges gallery. They all reflect some aspect of his personality. Each of the super-villains connects with Batman in a very specific way and he is a collection of all of those things, but we never really had a villain who can engage with Batman of a physical, powerful, combat level," producer of the game Dax Ginn said on an interview with Play-Mag.

The recent Batman: Arkham Knight Trailer revealed how the new gameplay of the game would look and feel like. It also revealed a number of villains including the newly created villain creators said they would do?
