2015 Corvette Z06 Specs: GM's 2015 Corvette Z06 was recorded to be the fastest car in the world after recording a 650 HP and 650 lb-ft of torque, in a recent rating.

This powerful car is said to hit the roads soon and promises to be one of America’s fastest production car, in both coupe and convertible types.

Revving up and racing from 0-60 mph in three seconds, the new 2015 Corvette Z06 is equipped with a 6.2 liter LT4 Supercharged V8 engine that goes a top speed of 200 mph and a peak power that comes at 6,400 rpm and peak torque comes at around 3,600 rpm.

“Torque is the pulling power of an engine and the LT4’s abundance of it at every rpm in the engine’s speed range helps the 2015 Corvette Z06 accelerate quicker and respond nearly instantaneously,” said Jordan Lee, chief engineer for Small Block engines. “It’s the very definition of power on demand.”

“It’s also worth mentioning that the LT4’s supercar performance numbers are achieved with an engine that is nearly the same size as the very compact LT1 engine introduced in the 2014 Corvette Stingray,” Lee said. “The power density of the LT4 makes it one of the smallest and lightest 650-hp engines in the industry.”

The powerful and head turning LT4 engine is said to be assembled at the Performance Build Center in the Bowling Green Assembly Plant, which was said to be the origin of all Corvettes and also assembled in New York at GM’s Tonawanda engine plant.

It will be the first time for the company and specifically the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 to have its convertible models. Prices are said to be marked higher than the 2014 model and was estimated by automobilemag to reach at about $79,000, including all upgrades.

Car enthusiasts can expect this commanding bad boy to hit the streets early next year.
