Queen + Adam Lambert 'Flawless' In Berlin; Bags Ultimate Classic Rock's Tour Of The Year Award

Queen + Adam Lambert won Ultimate Classic Rock's Tour of the Year Award as the band was reportedly flawless during the recent performance in Berlin.

The blog site Socialite Life noted that Queen + Adam Lambert was sheer perfection when they performed in Berlin as part of their European tour.

"I assume his new album will be just as magical," it said, referring to the "American Idol" alum's upcoming music project.

The site also reported that Adam Lambert and Brian May improvised together before performing "I Want it All," and "they sound flawless.

Meanwhile, Unreality TV reported that Queen + Adam Lambert winning the Tour of the Year from Ultimate Classic Rock was no surprise.

"Everything about the group is impressive, their stage show (which we attended last month, finally), their performance and their connection with each other. It all fits," it said. The band won the distinction by getting 57% of the votes.

"As a collective they beat the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Sir Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Kiss and Def Leppard and Judas Priest and Steel Panther," the website added, just to drive home the point how fierce the competition was.

Queen + Adam Lambert Tour also won the Video and Commercial of the Year as well as the Live Album awards.

Brian May was quick to heap praise on Adam Lambert for joining Queen.

In an earlier interview with Anti Music, the legendary guitarist felt lucky that they found Adam Lambert to front Queen since the "American Idol" alum is "so much like Freddie in many ways."

"But Adam doesn't have to try to be like Freddie, which is the nice thing. He doesn't imitate; he just does his own thing," he said.

"We didn't look for this guy, [but] suddenly he's there, and he can sing all of those lines. See, they're difficult songs to sing, Queen songs. There's too much range."

Brian May added, "So many people can't sing them in the original key - even if they are good singers. Adam comes along, he can do it easy. He can do it in his sleep!"
