INFINITE rang in the new year with the debut of their first sub-unit, INFINITE H (for Hip Hop). I was actually pretty excited for this group based on the preview video of the album, but once again I found myself falling victim to Kpop and its forever misleading teasers.

As I am not a fan of ALL of INFINITE's song, most of my faith in this album came from the fact that it was produced mostly by Primary, who is a solid songwriter.

The album starts of with the somewhat intro, "Victorious Way," and though I love the instrumental the song is horrible. The rapping was dull, and it just butchered what could have been perfection. The only reason I didn't give this a 0/1 was because I loved the instrumental so much.

Next up is title song, "Special Girl." It was the only song I wasn't feeling in the preview video, and after hearing it in its entirety I have to ask why they chose to promote this song. It is not hip hop at all, and its honestly boring to listen to, so much so that I couldn't even get through the music video.

"못해 (I Can't)" featuring Dynamic Duo's Gaeko was the saving grace for this album. It is such a signature Amoeba Culture song, and probably why I like it so much. However, I would have prefered to have this song be used as a collabo between Zion.T, and Gaeko, because they could have brought this song to its full potential. I think it says a lot about INFINITE H that this song would have been even better without them on it.

After listening to the album, watching the MV, and watching the live performances I've realized that these two just can't flourish away from the group. The have all the charisma in the world when they promote with INFINITE, but when its just the two of them on stage they lose it big time. These two just aren't good as a unit. They are so strong as rappers that they could sustain themselves, and they need the group, and its vocalists as their safety net.
