Becky G and Austin Mahone broke up because of work and it may also seemingly be the reason preventing them from getting back together.

As reported by J-14, the "Break A Sweat" singer recently opened up on the reason why she can't be attached to someone right now.

"As a teenage girl, I want to have a cute boyfriend!" the "Break A Sweat" singer revealed to Time as quoted by the source above. "But I don't got time for one. When you do have one, it's great, but then you're in this tug between [work and your relationship]."

When Becky G and Austin Mahone broke up in August, the "Dirty Work" singer also shared to Entertainment Tonight that part of the reason for the split was being away from each other to do tours and press work for their music.

"We actually kinda broke up a few days ago, just 'cause we're so busy traveling and all that," the "Dirty Work" singer explained at the time. "We thought it was just kinda best if we just chill for a second, but we're still super close. We're close friends."

And it seemed the former couple won't be stopping anytime soon when it came for their careers.

In an interview with Paper magazine, the "Dirty Work" singer bared that next year will be all about his music as well.

"I'm planning on releasing my new project free for my fans and then follow it up with my first official full-length album sometime in 2016, which is what I'm working on now," Mahone explained.

"I'll definitely be putting a tour together, getting back out on the road," the "Dirty Work" singer added. "Really, 2016 is going to be all about new music for me."

Just like Austin Mahone, Becky G also has a busy year ahead of her. After bagging a guest role on "Empire," she's set to appear on the big screen with a "Power Rangers" reboot and will also be releasing her new album during the first months of 2016 as she told Time.
