"Desperate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria and Jose Antonio Baston are engaged, Longoria announced over the weekend. Baston is the president of Televisa, the largest multimedia company in Latin America. He has also been a member of the company's board of directors since 1998.

The Desperate Housewives star shared a photo from Dubai, where she and the 46-year-old media mogul are traveling for the Global Gift Foundation. Baston popped the question in Dubai on Saturday.

"Ummmm so this happened," Longoria captioned a photo on Twitter and Instagram along with the hashtags "Engaged," "Dubai," and "Happiness."

The couple started dating publicly in November 2013. Eva Longoria was first spotted with her new boyfriend at New York's Serafina restaurant. A source told People Jose Antonio Baston was  "crazy about her" and said Eva was "very happy" in her new relationship. The source said "He's been sweeping her off her feet and courting her like a proper gentleman."

Longoria was previously married to actor Christopher Tyler from 2002 to 2004 and French basketball player Tony Parker from 2007 to 2011. She is appearing in the soap opera spoof "Telenovela."

"I'm attracted to humor and intellect in a man," Longoria told People magazine in March 2014.

"Let me tell you, I'm very lucky in my life."

 The Hollywood Reporter named Longoria Philanthropist of the year in 2009. Longoria promotes several causes. She brings attention to Padres Contra El Cancer (Parents Against Cancer), which is a nonprofit organization that helps improve the lives of Latino children with cancer. Longoria also promotes Eva's Heroes, which gives people with developmental disabilities support after school. Longoria also supports the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
