Is reconciliation between the rumored feuding pals Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo happening soon?

While there was never any mention about their rumored ongoing misunderstanding, the 46-year-old lead star of "Grey's Anatomy" hinted about the lost that she felt when her husband in the series left her, she revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

"Certainly the last year was very, very difficult," she admitted. "Losing Patrick was huge."

The 49-year-old actor used to portray Dr. Derek Shepherd, the neurosurgeon husband of the former "Daredevil" actress' character Dr. Meredith Grey.

Speculations about the misunderstanding between Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo reportedly rooted from the latter's rumored involvement from the former's split from his wife Jillian Fink early this year, reported Realty Today.

The report noted that "there are rumors that 'Grey's Anatomy' star Ellen Pompeo had something to do with Dempsey and Fink's divorce."

"At that time, Pompeo allegedly spotted Dempsey flirting with the younger staff," the report further claimed. "Fink and Pompeo are close friends, so the actress took the liberty to inform her about what she saw."

In a joint statement, the estranged couple dished that "It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage."

Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo's close friend Fink continued by saying, "Our primary concern remains the well-being of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family's privacy at this very sensitive time."

In the meantime, the Wet Paint shared that "Grey's Anatomy" season 12's episode 9 (sometimes known as episode 1209), which was directed by Denzel Washington is expected to air on Jan. 28, 2016.

According to the site, it "will probably be the 'spring' premiere of the latter part of season 12."
