We didn't really know each other before we went on the show together. Red Velvet's Joy opened up in the latest episode of Knowing Bros, about the time she cried and became emotional in front of Lovelyz's Yein. The hosts of the show guessed what happened between the 2 idols. Joy eventually explained the complete details.

If started the day they got to know each other more and both of them appeared on another TV series, Get It Beauty, together. They did not know each other until they went on the same show.

Joy said that before, she did not get the chance to socialize with "hoobae". She said that Yein felt like her sister. Joy got so attached to Yein quickly. She said that when she was Yein's age, she worked hard too. She said that Yein is working harder than her. Joy fell in love with her professionalism on set. She is a very strong woman.

Joy cared so much for Yein as their friendship grows over time. She discovered that Yein is good at hiding her feelings. That made Joy sad and she wanted to protect Yein. She said that Yein has soft spots too. Joy said, "I noticed she doesn't show a lot of her own emotions. That kind of made me keep my eyes on her."

There was one night when they grabbed drinks together and the alcohol worked its magic. Joy became emotional and started crying in front of Yein. She said that she loves their friendship so much. She said that she didn't know how to be a good sunbae. She felt that she wasn't being so supportive of her. The alcohol helped her to be braver. She became emotional and honest to let her feelings out. She said that she is always looking after her and started bawling.

Yein made fun of Joy's ugly crying in public but she appreciated that sunbae-idol Joy is a good friend, a strong sister, and a solid support system for her. Joy said that Yein laughed so hard when she cried. She sends me a photo to show how I looked like that night. Joy said her eyelashes fell off on her cheeks.

It is really hard to find genuine friendship these days. Some friends are not honest and just are pretending. If you found a true friend do not let them go and appreciate everything they do for you.
