South Korean girl groups Red Velvet, TWICE, MOMOLAND, (G)I-DLE, LOONA, ITZY, as well as solo artist Chungha, were unveiled for the first artist lineup of this year's event.

Previously, it has been confirmed that actresses Lee Jung Eun, Park Min Young, and Girls' Generation member YoonA would be attending the said ceremonial. In addition, it was revealed that Ji Chang Wook, Jang Dong Gun, Lee Kwang Soo, Jung Hae In, and Ong Seong Wu would be appearing in the show as well.

In last year's AAA ceremony, Super Junior's Leeteuk along with actress Lee Sung Kyung hosted the event. The K-pop boy groups who attended the 2018 AAA are BTS, Wanna One, SEVENTEEN, iKON, Monsta X, Nuest W, SE7EN, GOT7, Snuper, SF9, The Boyz, Stray Kids, and D-CRUNCH.

Meanwhile the girl group, mixed group, and solo artists who were present were TWICE, AOA, MAMAMOO, WJSN, Gugudan, fromis_9, (G)I-DLE, IZ*ONE, KARD, Sunmi, Zico, and Chungha. Actors and actresses were also there as well, some of them were Lee Byung Hun, Suzy, IU, Sung Hoon, Lee Da Hee, ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo, and more.

Some of the awardees and their awards were BTS who accepted the 'Daesang,' 'StarPay Popularity Award,' 'Korean Tourism Appreciation Award,' and one of the 'Artist of the Year' and 'Fabulous Award;' GOT7 received the 'Best Popular' and 'Artist of the Year;' TWICE also earned the 'Fabulous Award;' AOA took the 'Asia Brilliant Award;' and Chungha got the 'Favorite Award.'

Furthermore, for the acting category, the 'Best Actor' award was attained by IU, Joo Hi Hoon, and Yoo Yeon Seok, while the 'Best Artist' went to Ha Jung Woo, 'Asia Celebrity' to Suzy, 'Asia Trend' to Jung Hae In and YoonA, and the 'Daesang' to Lee Byung Hun.

The top three artists who have multiple wins already are (1) BTS and EXO with a total of 7, (2) Yoona and Wanna One with 5, and (3) MAMAMOO, TWICE, SEVENTEEN, IU, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Lee Byung Hun with 4.

2019 Asia Artist Awards will take place in Vietnam, at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi on November 26. The artists who will host this year's ceremony are Super Junior's Leeteuk, MOMOLAND's Nancy, Lim Ji Yeon, and Ahn Hyo Seop.
