BTS, SEVENTEEN are the Best-Selling Korean Acts on Oricon in 2021 so Far

K-pop powerhouses BTS and SEVENTEEN are currently the best-selling Korean acts on Oricon in 2021 so far!

Oricon is a widely known chart in Japan that ranks the most popular and latest music within the country, be it from a Japanese artist or a foreign artist.

Nonetheless, Oricon helps determine the success of a group or singer based on their music sales, such as accumulated album sales, singles sales, or digital sales.

As many K-Pop idols and groups usually release Japanese versions of their songs and albums or release an entirely new Japanese song, the Oricon charts are just as important to them as South Korea's Gaon and Hanteo.

With that being said, these are currently the best-selling Korean acts on Oricon in 2021 so far, based on their sales from the week of December 28, 2020, until the week of July 5, 2021.
