SF9 has been given a certification by Hanteo Chart for their first week sales with their latest album "Rumination."

SF9 Awarded Bronze Certification Plaque by Hanteo Chart for Highest First Week Sales with 'Rumination'

On January 3, Hanteo Chart announced that SF9 was awarded the First Week Sales - also known as the Initial Chodong - certification plaque through Hanteo News and the Whosfan TV Youtube channel.

According to Hanteo Chart, the nine-member group was given the certification plaque for their 10th mini-album, "Rumination."

Released on November 22, "Rumination" had achieved a first week sales record of more than 160,000 album copies sold, surpassing their previous record of over 140,000 album copies for their 9th mini-album "Turn Over," which was released back on July 5.

This also means that SF9 has recorded their highest first week sales record with their latest album.

In commemoration of their achievement and first week sales record, Hanteo Chart issued a bronze certification plaque to the group to signify their achievement of having more than 100,000 in sales figure for their first week sales.

In response to the award, the SF9 members expressed their gratitude for the certification, saying, "Thanks to Fantasy (name of SF9's fans), we are receiving such a gift. Thank you Fantasy."

With this certification, the "RUMINATION" singers solidified themselves as a top boy group and showed off their domestic and international popularity by receiving a certification plaque by Hanteo Chart for the second time in a row in 2021, following "Turn Over."

Meanwhile, the Hanteo Chart First Week Sales certification plaque commemorates and certifies the official record of an artist who exceeds a certain amount of album in terms of sales based on the first week sales data compiled by the world's only real-time music chart, Hanteo Chart.

By receiving the certification plaque, SF9 also proved their significant achievements in the K-Pop industry.

SF9's Latest Activities

In other news, SF9 renewed their contracts with FNC Entertainment back in March 2021. In the following month, they participated in Mnet's competition program "Kingdom: Legendary War," where they finished in last place after competing against fellow K-Pop groups iKON, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, THE BOYZ, and BTOB.

In July 2021, SF9 dropped their 9th mini-album "Turn Over," featuring its lead single "Tear Drop." They then released "RUMINATION" headlined by "Trauma."

More recently on December 30, SF9 dropped a digital single called "Savior" in collaboration with Universe Music and their Korean mobile app "Universe," with the full music video being available on the platform.
