TREASURE's 'THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE' Breaks Record for Highest First-Week Sales for a 2022 K-pop Album
On Feb. 22, the total first-week sales of TREASURE's "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" on the Hanteo Chart were revealed. This six-song album, which is the group's first mini-album, arrived on Feb. 15 together with the music video for the title track "JIKJIN."

"THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" first-week sales figure reached 539,279 copies, becoming the group's first album to sell half a million copies on Hanteo.

With almost 540,000 copies sold, TREASURE's first mini-album has broken the group's record for highest first-week sales. It has surpassed "THE FIRST STEP: TREASURE EFFECT" that only sold over 200,000 copies from Jan. 11 to 17 of last year.

On top of that, TREASURE's "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" has now claimed the record for highest first-week sales on Hanteo for a K-pop album released in 2022. It has beaten ENHYPEN's "DIMENSION: ANSWER" that sold 514,291 copies.
To date, "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" and "DIMENSION: ANSWER" are the only two 2022 K-pop albums to sell more than half a million copies on Hanteo in the first week of release.

In addition to the total first-week sales of TREASURE's first mini-album, the group's first-day sales figure was also notable. A total of 167,024 copies were sold on Feb. 15, marking the band's new highest sales on the first day.
With over 167,000 copies sold, "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" has beaten the record of 121,943 copies sold by their debut single album "THE FIRST STEP: CHAPTER ONE."

TREASURE Shares Goals for 'THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE' Promotions and Upcoming Concert
On Feb. 15, TREASURE held a press conference to talk about their new album, "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE," as well as their goals during their comeback promotions and forthcoming concert.

Regarding their goals, Yoshi responded that they wish to win No. 1 on music shows with "JIKJIN." He added that he wants to share that happiness with TREASURE MAKER (TREASURE's fandom).
In addition to what Yoshi said, Bang Yedam stated that he had imagined winning a trophy on a music show multiple times. He then revealed that they once prepared an acceptance speech but they placed second at that time.

TREASURE 1ST CONCERT
When asked to share about their upcoming concert in April, TREASURE's leader Choi Hyunsuk commented that he has been having happy thoughts every day since learning about their concert. He continued that all members have thought of the stages they wanted to show fans and have gathered to brainstorm about it.
Choi Hyunsuk further said that aside from performing "JIKJIN," they also plan on preparing performances of some of the B-side songs from their latest album.
TREASURE will hold their first-ever concert for two days beginning on April 9. The event will take place at Olympic Park's Olympic Hall, will have live audience members, and will be livestreamed online.
