YG Entertainment has commented on the massive success of BIGBANG's "Still Life" despite the boy group being on a hiatus for a long time.

YG Entertainment Talks About the Great Performance of BIGBANG's "Still Life"
On the morning of April 15, YG Entertainment issued an official press release where they detailed how popular BIGBANG's "Still Life" is.
YG said, "It is absolutely overwhelming. On MelOn, which boasts the largest share in the domestic music market, 'Still Life' was heard by 908,000 people in the first 24 hours of its release. This is the highest record since 2020 among the music released by boy groups. It has entered the top 10 highest records since MelOn was launched."

The label then revealed the particular age groups that are listening to BIGBANG's "Still Life" on MelOn.
YG shared, "If you look at the listeners of 'Still Life' on MelOn, you can see the driving force behind its popularity. Music by idol groups tends to focus on a specific group, but 'Still Life' showed an even division."
They continued that 100% of the listeners of BIGBANG's "Still Life" consists of 56% females and 44% males.
"The number of people who search for and listen to the artist's music has increased," YG stated.
In terms of age groups, 45% are in their 20s, 20% are in their 30s, and those in their teens and 40s each accounted for 13% of the total.
"This result became possible because of the musical trust the public has on BIGBANG," YG Entertainment commented.

The agency also unveiled the performance of BIGBANG's "Still Life" music video on YouTube. They said that the public has become more active in listening to BIGBANG's music.
YG Entertainment did an analysis of the MV, and as a result, they found out that the people who did direct search for BIGBANG's "Still Life" are higher than those who discovered the MV through algorithm recommendations. In fact, those who did direct search accounted for the largest portion with 39%.
Compared to BIGBANG's previous songs, YG said that the discussion and favorability have increased.
Finally, YG said, "In terms of music alone, BIGBANG is a group that has taken K-pop's status one step further on the world stage. Since their debut in 2006, they have maintained their top position for a long time by releasing numerous mega-hit songs."

"BIGBANG, with its lyrical ambivalence while emphasizing bold and unconventional personality, has demonstrated its presence across various genres such as hip-hop based electronica, rock, and R&B," the label added.
YG Entertainment concluded, "The views on the group are different, but despite this, BIGBANG is still BIGBANG."

BIGBANG's "Still Life" Claims Three Spots on Gaon's Weekly Charts
Shortly after its release, BIGBANG's "Still Life" swept the top spots of the major music charts in South Korea, such as MelOn Top 100 and 24Hits charts, Genie, Bugs, VIBE, and FLO.
On April 15, it was revealed that "Still Life" also secured the No. 1 spots on various Gaon charts for the week of April 3 to 9.
Debuting at No. 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart was BIGBANG's "Still LIfe" with an impressive total of 48,235,380 points. This was the only song with over 40 million points in the past week.
The track also topped the Gaon Download Chart and Gaon Streaming Chart. This proves its incredible popularity in South Korea.
