On June 28, V returned to South Korea and arrived at the Gimpo Business Aviation Center in the afternoon. At the time, numerous fans and reporters were waiting for the arrival of V, BLACKPINK Lisa, and Park Bo Gum.

While Lisa and Park Bo Gum brightly greeted fans and reporters and posed for photos, V, on the other hand, immediately went inside his vehicle. Soon after, the incident circulated online and garnered mixed reactions from netizens.

Many began to criticize the BTS member for his attitude of not even greeting the fans and reporters. While many have also come to V's defense, stating that the idol isn't obligated to do anything, especially as he might be suffering from jet lag.

Not long after, V took to Weverse to apologize to both fans and reporters. He said, "We have arrived. Reporters and ARMY, I am sorry I got in the car right away. You have been waiting for a long time, right? I brought a present."

Along with his apology, V also shared a photo of him at the airport. A second photo featured the beautiful night sky littered with stars, which seemed to be taken by V while on the plane.

Fancam Video of BTS V Greeting Fans and Reporters at Airport Surfaces

Amid his attitude controversy, fans continue to defend the idol online. In particular, one fancam video of V at the airport is making its rounds on social media.

In the video shared by Twitter user k_shen97, V can be seen rolling down the vehicle's window, just enough to fit his hand through to wave at fans and reporters at the airport as he leaves.

Although V didn't completely roll down his window to show his face, this proved the idol greeted those who were waiting for him. It also proved that cameras didn't capture his greeting for the reporters.

The video has since then garnered over 1.2 million views on Twitter, with many criticizing netizens for skewing the incident. Fans also showed their support for V, sending the "Butter" singer words of encouragement and trended "ALWAYS TRUST TAEHYUNG" and "WE LOVE YOU TAEHYUNG."
