Recently on the July 1 broadcast of the KBS music program "Music Bank," girl group fromis_9 attended the show to promote their new mini album "from our Memento Box" and its lead single "Stay This Way."
Like most idols promoting their new releases, fromis_9 was interviewed by "Music Bank" co-hosts IVE Jang Wonyoung and ENHYPEN Sunghoon in the middle of the show to talk about their new song.
However, as fromis_9 concluded their interview and were leaving, netizens noticed that Jiheon stared at Sunghoon for a long time.

In the photos and videos shared, the fromis_9 members can be seen bowing to the hosts and leaving the set. However, Jiheon can be seen shyly smiling while looking in Sunghoon's direction and lingering behind her fellow members.
Upon seeing this, netizens began speculating the meaning behind Jiheon's stare and shy smile. Such as Jiheon having a crush on the ENHYPEN member, the two idols having a friendship not many are aware of, or that they are in a romantic relationship.

Many also criticized the female idol for her "obvious" staring despite knowing that she was being filmed.
Following the criticism and the dating rumors surrounding her and Sunghoon, Jiheon took to her Weverse account on July 3 to indirectly address the issue.
On Weverse, Jiheon said, "Saerom unnie and Nagyung unnie were so funny during the interview kkk."
She added, "Yeah, I only looked at Flover (fromis_9's fandom) haha let us only look at each other."

In other news, Jiheon expressed her love for Red Velvet in the June 30 broadcast of MBC FM4U's radio program "Kim Shin Young's Noon Song of Hope." Members Jiheon, Gyuri, Chaeyoung, Jisun, and Jiwon made a guest appearance in this broadcast.
During the broadcast, Kim Shin Young mentioned fromis_9's cover performance of Red Velvet's song "Feel My Rhythm" on "Music Bank," and complimented the group.

When asked about their preparations for the cover performance, Jiheon revealed they only had two days of really hard practice. She then shared, "I am actually a fan of Red Velvet. So I prepared while thinking that I have to do well."
Meanwhile, fromis_9 returned with their fifth mini album, "from our Memento Box," on June 27.
