Fans who attended the event recalled how they witnessed a dangerous situation during the track and field event, in which four male K-pop idols ended up falling during the race. Fans said they fell due to the shoes they were wearing.

The shoes worn by the idols feature a particular shoe design, which has a huge outsole and comes in different bright colors. Due to the large outsoles of these shoes, the shoes worn by idols are not fit to be used during sports. However, some idols wore the shoes as a sponsored item.

Eventually, this caused some idols to fall while turning a corner while running on the track, bringing several idols down with him.

After this incident, netizens and fans criticized MBC and the production team for not considering the safety of these idols.

K-pop Idols' Past Injuries at ISAC

This isn't the first time something like this happened. The issue with the shoes has been ongoing and pointed out several times by fans during ISAC over the years. In fact, there have been idols that were injured every year due to problematic shoes.

In 2016, BTS Jin suffered a nose injury, while VIXX Leo had an ankle injury in 2013 and a nose injury in 2016. Furthermore, INFINITE Woohyun even sustained a rupture in his shoulder ligament in 2014.

Despite ISAC's production team always stating that they try to minimize the injuries as much as possible, netizens can't help but continue to criticize them for their negligence.

Some comments from fans read:

"It is so dangerous."

"I can't believe they are still using those slippery tracks for running."

"There were so many serious injuries already, but there isn't a change. They should just stop the show."

"They should shut down the show or have better safety measures.

"They need to discontinue ISAC."

What do you think about their concerns?
