Media outlets and officials debunked BIGBANG G-Dragon and IVE Jang Wonyoung's dating rumor for THESE two reasons.

BIGBANG GD & IVE Jang Wonyoung Dating?

BIGBANG G-Dragon drew attention after he posted an Instagram story on October 6th, thanking the luxury brand Miu Miu for its gift to him, writing the caption:

"Thank you for a lovely gift from Miu Miu."

However, the photo became controversial after infamous YouTuber Sojang noted that GD used Jang Wonyoung's sticker as a design and put it purposely below the word, "lovely."

Immediately after, the two celebrities were quick to be embroiled in a dating rumor. People also dug more about GD and Jang Wonyoung, trying to provide more evidence that they are in a romantic relationship.

Another "proof" given by netters were the similar outfits Jang Wonyoung and G-Dragon wore for fashion events.

With various celebrities participating in Miu Miu 2023 S/S collection on October 8, Jang Wonyoung, who is Miu Miu's ambassador, appeared in a cropped jacket with four pockets up and down.

Alongside her, web users noticed that G-Dragon who appeared at Paris Fashion Week on October 2, also wore a cardigan with four pockets up and down, drawing attention as it was said to be "similar looking" to Jang Wonyoung's styling.

Due to this, people speculate more about their real status and treatment from Miu Miu, when GD is known for being an ambassador to the luxury brand Chanel.

Following this, netizens reacted negatively and showed discomfort. Jang Wonyoung is only 18 years old while G-Dragon is 34. The age gap drew criticism, with people saying:

• "Now he's dating minors?"
• "I think his agency should deal with this."

VIPs (BIGBANG fandom) then demanded that YG Entertainment protect the male icon from malicious comments and defamation since his image was the one being affected the most due to the issue.

As a result, officials from Miu Miu stepped in and clarified speculations about the said same outfits and said:

"The product worn by Jang Wonyoung is part of the Miu Miu's 'Holiday 23' collection, which has not been released yet. It will be unveiled through a campaign in November."

In regards to claims that the outfit came from the 2020 S/S collection, people added:

"Regarding the fact that the outerwear is the 2020 S/S collection, which is six seasons late, is somewhat unusual for an ambassador to appear in outdated clothes."

As a result of checking with Star News and Herald Pop, Jang Wonyoung's sticker was found to be a sticker that appears when searching for "Miu Miu" on Instagram Story. Thus, it was concluded that GD randomly selected the sticker, as he was known for using stickers without thinking much about it.

In July, he drew attention after using a sticker with SHINee Onew's name on it, created to promote his recent album, "DICE." Fans then speculated that the two second-gen idols will possibly have a collaboration, but people claimed that GD randomly selected the sticker after searching the word, "dice."
