NewJeans to Drop Pre-Release Track in June, Album in July
Get ready for NewJeans' return to the K-pop scene!
On April 4, Korean news outlet Star News reported that NewJeans is now gearing up for their summer comeback.
In the report, NewJeans will drop their pre-release track at the end of June, and an album for July. This sequence will also resemble the group's previous release, when they uploaded pre-release track "Ditto" on December 19, 2022, and main track "OMG" on January 2, 2023.
With their popularity within the K-pop community, fans are understandably excited for the group's comeback, and are ready to receive more of their hits. Upon learning of the news, the details spread wildfire online, leading their fandom Bunnies, to express their anticipation.
In a forum, fans stated how much they're looking forward to NewJeans' brand new music. Some voiced out their liking for the members' vocal colors, which they can't wait to hear on their upcoming songs. Others praised the group's pacing of release.

NewJeans Becomes Fastest Million-Sellers With 'OMG'
In other news, the group has also accomplished a historic feat regarding their physical album sales. On January 27, Circle Chart revealed that "OMG" has sold a total of 1,013,62 copies.
NewJeans became the fastest K-pop group to secure the "million-seller" title, achieving the success with just six months since their debut on July 22, 2022. This also led them to become the youngest artist, as well as the seventh K-pop girl group to do so.
For its breakdown, Circle Chart revealed that 720,000 physical albums were sold, followed by a figure of 290,000 from Weverse. "OMG" also collected a half-million sellouts on its first day with 480,000 sales, and 311,271 sellouts for its first-week sales.
