BLACKPINK Jisoo Joins UK Official Charts' Top 40 With 'FLOWER'
On April 7, Jisoo's solo debut song "FLOWER" made its entry on UK Official Singles Chart at No. 38, between April 7 to April 13.
The announcement was made by the United Kingdom's Official Charts. To elaborate, the UK Official Singles Chart lists the most trending song in the United Kingdom, while UK Official Charts are simply the equivalent of Billboard's U.S. charts, but based in U.K.
Jisoo is now the K-pop female soloist with the highest rank on UK Official Singles Chart, and the first female soloist to earn a place inside its Top 40.
It also makes Jisoo the second Korean female solo artist to appear on the UK Official Singles Chart, following her fellow bandmate Rosé, who released "On The Ground," which charted her debut at No. 43 in March 2021.
When it comes to overall K-pop soloists, the "FLOWER" singer has also followed BTS Jimin and J-Hope, becoming the third soloist to enter the Top 40 with a debut.

Jisoo's own group BLACKPINK has also made their entry on the UK Official Singles Chart with "DDU-DU-DDU-DU" in 2018, becoming the first-ever K-pop girl group in history to achieve the feat.
It was followed by eight UK Top 40 singles, which they achieved with "Kiss and Make Up," "Kill This Love," "How You Like That," "Ice Cream," "Lovesick Girls," "Sour Candy," "Pink Venom," and "Shut Down."

On March 31, Jisoo has finally dropped her much-anticipated solo debut track "FLOWER." The singer boasts unparalleled visuals in the music video, which were shot on glamorous locations.
"FLOWER" offered BLINKs a catchy format with an instrumental-based chorus, as well as a memorable point choreography. Contrasted to BLACKPINK's trap-fueled releases, "FLOWER" delivers a fusion of traditional Korean melodies and Caribbean touches.
