MYs are ready for another bop from the "Savage" hitmakers!

On April 17, midnight KST, aespa unveiled the first bizarre teasers for "MY WORLD." On the video clips, the group featured a balloon-like object written as "MY WORLD" as it displays a static transition to their group name.

Three various teasers were released on their official SNS, causing anticipation among fans. "MY WORLD" will be their first comeback since the group released their smash hit "Girls" on July 8, 2022. The comeback is slated for May 8, at 6 p.m. KST.

Upon seeing the news, fandom MYs were thrilled to know aespa's long-awaited return to the music scene. After their last release of "Girls" on July 8, 2022, the members participated in various idol activities.

These promotions include unit activities, with Winter and Karina's endeavors with SM sub-unit "GOT The Beat," a branch from project group "Girls On Top," and other activities like music festivals such as Coachella and many more appearances.

While many of these activities gave aespa opportunities to promote as a group, the itinerary caused comeback delays, which made the fandom wait indefinitely.

Since the group rose to stardom with their hits "Black Mamba," "Next Level," "Savage," and "Girls," many wondered why the group somehow went through a "hiatus" when it comes to releasing new music.

MYs were shocked over the announcement of "MY WORLD" because of how it's going to be a mini album. Fans were taken aback because they expected a full-length album instead of a mini one, given aespa's long break in releasing new songs.

Meanwhile, other fans pointed out that several of aespa's unreleased songs were just performed in their concert "SYNK : HYPER LINE," and wondered why SM Entertainment didn't release the new music before the tour.
