Kim Sejeong Relationship 2023: Idol Clarifies Romantic Rumor With Ahn Hyo Seop

Recently, rumors are circulating, claiming that the "Business Proposal" loveteam Kim Sejeong and Ahn Hyo Seop are seeing each other romantically.

The dating speculation started when a Korean media outlet reported the possibility of a romantic relationship between the two stars.

Theories said that Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Sejeong were caught together after they uploaded their photos taken in Japan on their respective personal Instagram. This led to claims that the two stars may have traveled in the country together.

What triggered the rumor was when Ahn Hyo Seop posted a now-deleted photo of a hand of an acquaintance, which seemed to belong to a woman. Seeing this, people claimed that the hand was similar to Kim Sejeong's.

In context, the two stars met and worked together through SBS's hit drama, "Business Proposal," in 2022. At the time, the loveteam showcased high chemistry, enough for them to win the "Best Couple" trophy at the network's year-end awards.

Since then, fans began to ship them and have been following their interactions closely even after the drama - hoping they date in real life.

On June 13, Kim Sejeong, who was made aware of the dating rumor with Ahn Hyo Seop, finally spoke out and revealed the real score between them.

On a live broadcast held on the fandom community platform Weverse, Sejeong personally addressed the rumor.

"There was a rumor that I and Hyo Seop went on a trip to Japan?"

Hearing this, Sejeong immediately quashed the speculations.

"Why would I go on a trip with (Hyo Seop) oppa? I actually went to Japan with my best friend and my older brother."

Ahn Hyo Seop's side is yet to release their position about the rumor.

Meanwhile, Ahn Hyo Seop is currently starring in SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Dr. Romantic 3," while Kim Sejeong is set to appear on tvN's "The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch" to be aired in July.

Kim Sejeong's Idol Activities

Kim Sejeong, who is active as an actress now, started as a popular K-pop idol under Jellyfish Entertainment.

In 2016, Sejeong initially stole everyone's hearts when she joined Mnet's "Produce 101" Season 1, where she showcased her incredible vocals, dance and charming personality.

Due to this, she completed the show at No. 2 and was able to join the girl group project I.O.I. In the same year, she was also revealed to be a member of Jellyfish's new girl group, Gugudan.

This was not all, since Sejeong also debuted as a soloist in the same year!

Unfortunately, I.O.I disbanded in 2017, leading Sejeong to open her career as an actress and since then, she continued the path of acting.

Gugudan also disbanded in 2020 after four years.
