Super Junior Heechul gave a sensible response to fans asking why he never really addressed questions about his sexuality amid his past gay rumors.

"Hallyu King" Super Junior member Kim Heechul drew attention after revealing why he never bothered to explain the past rumors about his sexuality.
On August 16, a video, titled "Handsome Lunatics Jang Keunsuk & Kim Heechul", was posted on the actor's YouTube channel, "I AM JANG KEUNSUK."

On this day, the acting icon Jang Geun Suk and Heechul, who first met as "Inkigayo" MCs, boasted their 20-year friendship and recalled stories from the past, mini homepage, as well as various revelations about each other.
Jang said:
"It's been 33 years since I debuted. But the first time I saw Heechul was 20 years ago."
During the show, the celebrity best friends then recalled the past rumor of them being gays that led to dating controversies. The actor briefly mentioned its context and said:
"In the past, both of us were rumored to be gay. Both of us loved clothes and even [though we were] both too thin."
Jang amplified the rumor by saying:
"I am going to date Heechul. So it's our first day today?"
Hearing this, the K-pop idol gave his reaction to fans' gay theory.
"There were many cases where I even wore women's clothes. What I said in an interview was that Michael Jackson said that in the past.
Some of my fans like men and some like women. That's why I didn't have to shake it off and I thought there was no need to explain myself."
Jang agreed and commented:
"It's because it looked like that and was different back then."
Amid serious topic, Heechul wasn't able to stop him from showing off his sense of rumor.
"But not now. I have to explain. I'm old enough to get married!"
Super Junior Heechul Answers Question About Sexuality — Is He Really Gay?
Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Super Junior Heechul addressed the gay rumors.
In 2020, the "Sorry Sorry" singer initially opened up about being in gay scandals since his debut due to his feminine features and gestures.
At the time, he mentioned his true sexuality.
“At first, I wanted to deny it and say that I’m not homosexual."
In fact, in 2020, he had a public relationship with TWICE Momo, and they dated for 1 year and six months until they broke up in 2021.
However, the reason Heechul decided to keep mum about it was due to the fear of disrespecting other sexual minorities.
“However, I felt that if I did, I could be disrespecting sexual minorities. Whether it’s abroad or in Korea, there could be a gay person among the male fans at our concerts, and I think I’d feel really sorry towards them."
